Creekside Hospice honors all of our U.S. Veterans and gives thanks for their service to our country. We acknowledge that without you, we would not enjoy the freedoms that we do today.

According to the Department of Veteran Affairs, 28% of Americans dying annually are veterans. That’s more than 50,000 who die each month, and 1,800 per day. Let’s not allow the soldier dying in our midst be unknown any longer; let us behold and feel beholden!

We are actively recruiting veterans or active military personnel to volunteer for this very special program that honors our patients who are veterans. The volunteer will present to our patients a lapel pin and a special, individualized certificate which commemorates their service to our country and personally thank them for their service. As one of our patients stated, “You don’t know how much this means to me.”
Our patients love the chance to reminisce with a fellow veteran and share their stories. These stories, which speak of brotherhood and bravery, courage and fear, and love and loss, endure as a lasting legacy long after they have served.

The volunteer has a choice of being strictly a volunteer who makes the presentations, or becoming a veteran patient support volunteer who would then continue with visits with those patients who request it.
